God has a plan to rescue the Israelites from Egyptian slavery, and Moses is part of the plan. In Exodus 4:1, Moses raises a very reasonable concern, ““What if they will not believe me or listen to what I say? For they may say, ‘The LORD has not appeared to you.’” God gives Moses 2 signs to perform for the Israelites and Egyptians. However God has another miracle reserved for Moses to show the Israelites just in case they still don’t believe. When Jesus sends out His apostles in Matthew 10 to the surrounding areas, He gives them signs to help confirm the message they are to preach. John 4 shows that belief comes to different people in different ways. Sometimes by the Word of God only. Sometimes a sign was necessary. “Today on “In Need of a Refill,” Kevin Smith looks at Exodus 4, Matthew 10, and John 4 to talk about “The Parlay for Freedom.”
