The Plan for Freedom

Exodus 1 shows that the Israelites had a need for freedom. In Exodus 3, God tells Moses that He has a plan to rescue the Israelites from Egyptian slavery. In Isaiah 40, Isaiah records that God Himself is the One coming as the Messiah to offer freedom to the people. In John 10, Jesus uses the same sentence structure that God used to declare Himself to Moses to tell the crowd that He is the Good Shepherd. This Good Shepherd would offer more than physical freedom. He was planning to offer eternal freedom to everyone that would come to Him. Today on “In Need of a Refill,” Kevin Smith looks at Exodus 3, Isaiah 40, and John 10 to talk about “The Plan for Freedom.”
